April School Vacation Week

Spend time exploring the art on view in our galleries and create original works in the Bank of America Art Lab. Young children will need adult assistance with some activities.

  • Share Your Story (and Your Creativity!)
Use stencils, special artists markers, and acetate paper to create your own flying fish creatures. Add the names of places around the world your family is from, then add your flying fish to our new installation by artist Bennie Flores Ansell (or take it with you.)
  • Look in the Mirror
Ready for more challenges? Try mirror symmetry to complete a drawing of your own, then add designs using colored pencils.
  • Make Sketchbooks
Make sketchbooks daily from 1–3 PM to record notes and drawings about your own journeys and discoveries (large or small!).
  • Books and Looks
Enjoy staff led picture book readings related to the art and architecture Tuesday through Thursday at 11 AM and 2 PM in the galleries.
